On February 14, 2007 The Wellness House received its letter from the IRS confirming tax exempt status. The Wellness House is currently launching a capital campaign to raise the funds needed to open its doors in early 2008. Most of the people involved in this mission have been touched by cancer, or have a loved one touched by cancer, increasing their motivation for success. All of the Founding Directors of the Wellness House are members of the Annapolis Rotary Club which has a long, successful history of fundraising and community service. The Wellness House is also working with Anne Arundel Medical Center, 2C Creating Communities, and Hospice of the Chesapeake to develop these important programs and services for cancer patients and their loved ones.
